Smoked food, a reminder.....and heading out

All is not lost....a couple guys that operate a bbq and burger joint down in Burnaby have bought a house and moved into town, bringing with them a smoker and trailer. The Butchers Block..and oh geeezus bye, that was good. We had brisket and ribs and we both felt it was the best we had ever had. Best bought, that is....

Hate those Styrofoam food containers...

And finally..on the road again...heading for Albnerta then picking up Sharon first week of September and heading to Waterton National Park, then crossing into Montana and Wyoming for three week sof good times and travel with Anne and Ron..our pals from Washington that we were with ion Haida Gwaii same time last year. We`ll be celebrating our two birth-dates.

Sharon did some baking to put into the RV freezer...

I mean...what's not to love about this woman?

I got as far as the 2nd rest area and stopped for a nap. Hey, c`mon..it had been an early day...people had flown up from Vancouver to buy my Samurai jeep, so had to pick them up, then do all of that car salesman shit...and give them an hours head start.

So, anyway...Sharon decided to follow along behind for the afternoon, going to Smithers just because, so there was another good reason for a nap

Waking up..look what`s behind us. A 74 Westy...

Ernie, from salt Spring Island out on his maybe last personal wander. His wife had died last year and he is lost, so thought he would visit Terrace..a place he had worked back in the `50`s.

Now..before leaving we had a reminder of just how close we are to winter....
