A working Santa

It's been a long week for Santa...up to and including appearing in a stage production of The Polar Express last (Saturday) nigh. I kinda got called in because the feller that had been recruited for the parts..yes, two parts, was fling in from ma work thing in Yellowknife Saturday afternoon and there was a concern that for whatever reason..if he didn't make it..plus the lack of rehearsal time. Not that that makes much of a difference for me. I am not so good at memorising and speaking lines. I tend to want to wander off.

That was in the evening...by 10:30 am, I was working a kids party. This Santa doesn't 'do' for hires...but in this case, a gal here in Kitimat, who does oodles of things for others..was the least I could do for her.

Years ago, when living in Vancouver, I was a Volunteer at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. One of my 'things' was to be the Santa that escorted choirs about the place. Come Christmas time....lots of choirs wanted to come in and sing...some were static in the entry area whole others wanted to stroll about the halls and maybe visit patients. To have that happen, the choirs always had to be accompanied by some RCH authorized folks...Volunteers would work...and Santa led the charge. I had some amazing experiences and I really like to tell those, so, I put them on YouTube...for no other reason than to do it. I would go so far as to say...they were life changing. I have done three, to this point. Here is the first.
