Last days in Merida....

One of two hosts at the B/B we have been staying at while in Merida.

Breakfast is served at 8am...sharp. Always with fresh fruit and yogurts, granola and then on to the main..eggs or crepes.

Missy took a day to rest....spent the whole day in a hammock by the pool, sleeping and snoozing.

We finally went off to eat..a traditional place in Merida....and tell you what it was yummy. We felt the need for a burger and the joint delivered. Owned by a couple Irish gents, they opened the place a couple years ago after their house reno business took a hit, fall-out from the US collapse.

Then wandered the streets till we found ourselves in Santiago Square....there is to be night dancing! Man..they do like their live music and dancing. The church at Santiago...loved the sounds of the bells.

Okay..anytime there is any kind of a gathering, these peddlers show up. A gang of six...they have bags, shawls, belts..a very sorrowful look that they bestow on you and go thru their litany..over and over again...even tho a certain someone has just bought a shawl...made in China....

A sax player..getting set.....

Patience...patience will be rewarded.....
